Lately, I spent a lot of time playing this amazing free game, Cry of Fear. A well done horror experience that started as a Half Life mod and soon became an absolute, full featured game of its own. A horror game and pardon me a second while I go get a new pair of underwear.
Here’s the description of the game coming straight from its developers: Cry of Fear is a psychological single-player and co-op horror game set in a deserted town filled with horrific creatures and nightmarish delusions. You play as a young man desperately searching for answers in the cold Scandinavian night, finding his way through the city as he slowly descends into madness. With a strong emphasis on cinematic experience, immersion and lateral thinking, players will be taken on a nightmare rollercoaster-ride through the grim streets of Fäversholm and beyond. Not everything is as it seems…
But if it seems that we’re talking here about a really well done first person horror game, then it’s exactly as it seems. Add to that an active modding community creating new campaigns, add to that co-op modes and a relatively recent release on Steam, combine it wit the fact that Cry of Fear is a FREE game and you have all the reasons to wet your pants tonight.
So waste no more time, head over to Steam and download this little and amazing game right now!
