2K Games like to play hide and seek with BioShock 2‘s subtitle, Sea of Dreams, and whenever they fail to find it, they announce that it was dropped. Then the subtitle gets out of its hiding place, scared and begging for forgiveness, and it’s back up in the tail of the game’s name. At least that’s what it seems to be happening, after announcements that the Sea of Dream subtitle was cut off the game’s title, then it was put back on and now… well, now it’s once again cut off.
“We name most of our trailers at 2K and the name of the teaser trailer we released last October for BioShock 2 is called Sea of Dreams,” said spokesman Charlie Sinhaseni to IGN. “There was talk about adding that as an official subtitle, but we decided to simply keep it BioShock 2. We’re sorry for the confusion, but we’re glad people are so interested.”
Honestly, I don’t care about this game’s title and subtitle anymore. At least not until they decide to change the entire name in “Pacman of the Timely Brotherhood, Lost in the Temple of Phlegm”. But that will never happen so farewell, BioShock 2, whatever your final name is!
