If you, for any reason, decided against purchasing Resident Evil 5 hoping that a bigger and better Resident Evil 6 will be released pretty soon, you might’ve been terribly wrong: the game’s producer, Masachika Kawata, said that developing the sixth game in the series could take up to eight years!
Resident Evil 5’s producer told The Gadget Show that Capcom has absolutely no plans to develop the sixth game in the franchise yet, which is understandable having in mind that they’re probably working on expanding the recently released title.
“We haven’t decided whether we’re going to make Resident Evil 6 yet,” he said. “But if we do, it could take anywhere up to eight years, but hopefully only four.”
