titanfall beta impressions 1Titanfall will be getting a non-Titan game mode when Update 6 launches.

The game mode, entitled Pilot Skirmish, will not only remove Titans from battle, but also AI cannon-fodder. Pilot Skirmish will also feature a bigger player count with 8v8 battles instead of the usual 6v6. This difference also means the mode will not appear when you choose to play the Variety Pack playlist, Respawn explained.

Originally intended to be a limited-time only game type, Respawn also announced that it will be making Marked for Death a permanent playlist. The plan was to swap it out after a few weeks, “but the enduring popularity of the mode convinced us to bring it on full-time.” Respawn said.

Other changes being made in the next update includes Black Market daily deals, which allows you to buy individual Burn Cards for a short period of time. There is also a new Burn Card being introduced, called Roll the Dice. Described as an ‘ultra-rare’ card, it allows you to tap your Burn Card deck whilst in the middle of a game.

Finally on the Burn Card front, there is now an option to ‘auto fill’ your empty card slots in case you forget to sort them out in-between games.

Three new colourblind options have also been added (protanopia, deuteranopia, and tritanopia) and finally, games that you join past the half-way mark in the game that you lose will no longer count as a loss against you. A win in the same circumstances though will still count.

These additions and changes will also come with the usual fixes and tweaks. You can view the full list of changes made on the Titanfall Blog.
