A while ago we have reported that Activision was sued by THQ because of visible similarities between the cover arts of two games: SCORE International Baja 1000 (Activision) and Baja Edge of Control (THQ). Although we would’ve loved something spectacular and bloody to happen, that’s not the case and the manner was settled peacefully.

This means that Activision understood that their cover art indeed looks like the one created for THQ’s game and they decided to simply change the lot. It’s going to be a pricey operation, but it will surely keep the giant publishers out of unwanted legal trouble, so thumbs up to them for doing that.

However, we can’t say the same thing about the new boxart they have come up with. It does seem like one made in a hurry and well… I simply don’t like it (it’s the one in the upper left corner). But it’s clearly better than having two identical ones on two different products. Things like this one just happen.
