mini-ninja-artworkEidos might be in takeover talks, but this doesn’t mean they can’t focus on new and promising projects together with Io Interactive, creators of the Hitman franchise. The two companies have announced Mini Ninjas, an upcoming title for Wii, DS, Xbox 360, PC and PS3. It appears that the game will be an action-adventure one which is already slated for released this autumn. Now that’s a well kept secret!

According to the official statement about Mini Ninjas, the players will play as Hiro, the “smallest hero on the biggest adventure” – a little ninja who embarks on a quest to restore harmony to the world. No further details on the game’s story were given, though.

“Mini Ninjas represents a truly special game for us,” said Niels Jørgensen, General Manager of Io Interactive. “The whole team is very excited about it, because it is unique in so many ways. From the art style to the characters and the depth of the game – Mini Ninjas has that exceptional appeal, which is sure to keep both young and old very entertained.”

The game will be filled with enemies you’ll have to defeat by using both magic and special ninja skills, as well as the unique abilities of your friends. Yes, I know, it’s not too much information for now, but I’ll keep my eyes open and as soon as more details pop, I’ll let you know.
