fallout3-game-addon-packWhen you have an extremely popular RPG, what will you do with it? You milk it for money and I’m starting to get the impression that this is exactly what Bethesda is starting to do with Fallout 3, following the latest announcement coming via 1UP: the first two downloadable content packs (not all three of them, not one – TWO) will get a retail release in late May.

According to offers spotted on Amazon, The Pitt and Operation: Anchorage DLC for Fallout 3 will be released on a DVD on May 26 in North America and May 29 in Europe. The price for the package will be $19.99 so you won’t be saving any money, but you’ll be getting a vault boy poster for free. Oh, and if you plan to purchase it, you should be searching for a DVD titled Fallout 3: Game Add On Pack.

However, even though the release would make sense if we are to consider that it gives those with no internet connection a chance to play the extra content, we are still wondering why on earth isn’t the third upcoming DLC included in the package? And how come there are no plans for a PS3 release of the downloadable packs, even though Bethesda seems to care much about them? Many questions, few answers, unfortunately…
