brutal-legend-artMany are considering Electronic Arts’ Brutal Legend a game to look after and even though I don’t share the same view – for some strange reason, I consider the game over hyped – I could of course be wrong. We will all see, however, this October, since that’s when EA plans to release their game. Just perfect to get on the lists for Christmas, too!

“Wooo!” said a delighted Tim Schafer, the man behind the game, in a statement. “Having an official release date is awesome! And how cool is it that EA threw down the dough to have the name of an entire month changed to Rocktober?”

I have no idea what he’s talking about, but I can feel his excitement: Brutal Legend was thrown away when Activision and Vivendi merged, but EA considered it’s worth picking it up and so they did. Now we’ll get the title in October: the 13th of October in the US and the 16th in Europe.

Brutal Legend is a third person action game that follows the adventures of a heavy metal roadie named Eddie Riggs who must save a fantasy world from peril. You can imagine how twisted the game will be only if you know that the main character will be voiced by Jack Black. So yes, it could be, after all, a hell of a game!
