supersonicYesterday I told you about Atlus breaking the record for the game with the longest name and today I realize that Psyonix Studios might have had the same goal in mind, since they just released in Europe Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, a PlayStation 3 exclusive car racing and combat game.

However, despite having such an incredible long name, the game promises to give you a big dose of fun with physics-based maneuverability of the cars which come packed with tons of weapons and can get even more types of powerups. Even more, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars features a “football mode” in which players maneuver the cars to perform breathtaking saves, awe-inspiring shots and of course achieve supersonic speeds that literally turn their opponents into scrap metal.

The game features three single-player modes as well as team and league matches and scrimmage matches online. Using the full featured in-game video editor, players have the ability to save, upload and share their amazing triumphs and hysterical battle-car antics to their PS3 system’s hard-drive or upload clips directly to YouTube. You can grab a trial version from the PSN right away and, if you find Psyonix’s game enjoyable, you can purchase the full version for £7.99 (about EUR 8.5).
