Nintendo also announced three new Wii U bundles for the UK that are set to go on sale before the holiday season. The first bundle, which will be released on November 8, features a 32GB Wii U alongside a single disc of both New Super Mario Bros. U and its expansion New Super Luigi U. The next two bundles are targeted towards a more casual audience and will feature a 8GB Wii U console.
The first of the two bundles, called Wii Party U Basic Pack, includes copies of Wii Party U and Nintendo Land and will be released on November 15. The second bundle will make it’s debut on November 22. Called the Just Dance 2014 Basic Pack, the bundle will include copies of Just Dance 2014 and Nintendo Land. Both basic packs will also include the Wii Remote Plus controller, and a Wii Sensor Bar.
The Wii U has been struggling to find it’s audience since it made it’s debut almost one year ago. The console has only managed to sell 3.61 million units, well below the internal expectations for the system. Nintendo blamed lack of software and poor marketing for the disappointing sales numbers. Things might finally be looking up for the system though, with more new software set to arrive during the coming months.
