Although Left 4 Dead will soon take it’s place, Counter Strike is still one of the most played and successful multiplayer first person shooter games ever, and additional content (as in maps) is still being developed for the oldie. And, because it’s been a while since an awesome CS map was created, user Nipper has decided to right the wrongs.
He decided to use Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night painting as a starting point and created what is, probably, the first post-impressionist Counter Strike map. As you can see in the video below, he was also inspired by other paintings of the renowned artist and the result is simply amazing.
We have no idea if this map will manage to become a fan’s favorite, since it’s hard to beat classics like de_dust or cs_assault. But, no matter if this de_vangogh map will win the popularity contest or not, it still remains one of the most impressive creations for Counter Strike 1.6. And you can download it, along with other great maps created by Nipper, from the official website.
