Top rated licensed classics producer and game developer, National Entertainment Collectibles Association (NECA)/WizKids, today unveiled development on the first couple ofDC Comics sets for HeroClix Online, an electronic transliteration of the well known tabletop title. The two new DC Comics pieces, Blackest Night and Superman Fast Forces, will add over 12new models to the title alongside an associated map and are set to be launched this Wednesday, December 7.
“We’re thrilled to announce the addition of DC Comics to HeroClix Online players,” stated V.P. of Marketing at NECA, Justin Ziran. “We’re also happy to introduce codes for virtual HeroClix Online figures within physical HeroClix products. The codes provide a new, easy way to collect both physical and digital figures while connecting players of both versions of the game together.”
On December 7, Superman Fast Forces HeroClix could be theinitial physical item to hit the streets that will contain codes for the virtual Superman Fast Forces figures. Superman Fast Forces adds half a dozen fresh figurines, including Superman, Supergirl, Steel, Lex Luthor, Kryptonian, Renegade and Bizarro to the title. A brand-new virtual map, The Farm, will follow the collection.
Additionally, the well known Blackest Night collection will add 7 figures to the online experience, as well as characters Green Lantern, Mera, Lex Luthor, Scarecrow, The Flash, The Atom and Wonder Woman, and will also be obtainable as a beginner set alternative for brand-new players stepping into the game. The collection will bring a 6th map to the title, Sciencells.
Action figures from either sets can be used alongside one another in friendly games and in constructed competitions in game.
