Even though Christmas is not even close, a huge game like EA Play’s The Sims 3 can generate some great ideas, no matter what season it is outside. Check out the cool Sims 3-inspired Christmas tree lights in the image to the left and the one below to see for yourself.

The set was sent to Kotaku by Electronic Arts and apparently they’re sharp enough to cut a bit of skin, but that doesn’t matter too much since cats can play with them safely. Also it appears that they come with the Collector’s Edition of the game, but I’m not 100% sure of that. Maybe it’s a “Kotaku-only” type of gift, in which case we have nothing to do but keep telling ourselves that the Sims 3 Christmas lights are not cool. But who are we kidding?
