Like it or not, it appears that we’ll have to head back to Chernobyl since Ukrainian devs GSC Game World have confirmed a new S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game in the works, S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat. But don’t get used with this name yet, since it’s just a working title for now!
The original STALKER game debuted in 2007 and since them we kept receiving one new title per year, even though the game’s success was not one of the highest possible. But it certainly brings in some profits, otherwise we wouldn’t see a new one announced now, right?
S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat will be a sequel to the original game, featuring a new story, a collection of unique characters and an extended system of game quests, which makes it at least much more interesting in concept. The developers also promise a new user interface, as well as a new life-system, created from a mixture of the first two games… but that’s about everything we know. More details about S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat will certainly be revealed soon, as the game is scheduled to hit our PCs this fall.
