Rap Ban… uhm… Rock Band fans will be welcoming the P.I.M.P. Snoop D-O-Double-G to their catalog of tracks, while wondering (probably) how come there’s a hip hopper associated to “Rock Band”. I know, Nas told us that hip hop is dead, but it definitely did not morph into rock…

However, this does not mean that a small detour from the main genre will hurt Rock Band fans too much. Or maybe Snoop changed genres since he became the “Dogg After Dark” host… Anyway, the important thing is that his songs will be soon available as downloadable tracks, according to MTV.

Unfortunately, there are no details if the tracks will be from Snoop’s upcoming album, Malice in Wonderland or we’ll receive classic hits, from those golden times when hip hop was alive and kicking. I’ll let you know as soon as I find out more. Until then, grab a pen and a handkerchief and start writing some rhymes, yo, ‘cuz ya gotta be ready, ya’ know what I’m sayin’?
