The first thing that you should have in mind when trying to fix any problems with the game is that your system must meet the minimum requirements to run the game. And if you don’t have the recommended reqs met, don’t try to run the game at maximum settings, otherwise it will run very slow, have performance issues and even crash.
So the first thing you should try when it comes to trying to fix any problems you might have with Spec Ops The Line is to tune down the settings a little bit. If this doesn’t work, try the following:
1. If your game crashes randomly, make sure that you have your drivers up to date: update the sound drivers and the video card drivers! Make sure you restart your system after updating – and this fix also solves the no sound problem during the Spec Ops The Line cutscenes.
2. Install the 304.48 beta drivers from nVidia, there is a special profile for the game and a lot of tweaks to help improve the game’s performance and stability.
3. Another problem of Spec Ops The Line is that somehow the config file keeps getting corrupted every time you quit the game and this usually results in very poor performance of the game. Fortunately, there is a quick fix for that: make sure to delete the SREngine.ini file in your game’s install folder (in the SRGame\Config\ directory) before you restart playing and you’re done! NOTE: You will have to do this every time you start playing Spec Ops the line again.
Hopefully these fixes and tips will help you solve the problems you might be having with Spec Ops The Line. If you have any problems not covered by this article, feel free to post a comment below and maybe somebody will be able to help you!
