First of all, before trying any of the fixes below, it’s a good idea to make sure that your system meets the minimum requirements and you have all your drivers updated to their latest version. If you already meet these criteria, let’s look at some more in depth fixes!
Low framerate / audio hitching fix
The developers are aware that on some systems, there is a low frame rate problem (including audio hitching) and they came up with the solution that will work until they release a patch: right-click ‘Shadowrun Returns’ in your Steam Library and select ‘Properties’ then add this line: -force-gfx-st
Game freezes when creating character
The only solution in this case that we found so far is to leave the character creation on auto.
How to save the game more often
Unfortunately, you can’t. The game automatically saves your progress after a fight or when a new chapter begins, so there is no way you can save your game otherwise.
Game crashes at start-up on Mac

Character gets stuck randomly
If this happens to you, then you are probably using a controller to play the game. The best idea would be to plug out the controller and play the game with the mouse and keyboard. This could also help those whose in-game map keeps scrolling on its own.
