godfatherWith Electronic Arts’ Godfather II just released and so many people wishing to become Dons, a tutorial, a small one focusing more on tactics than anything (so not a walkthrough!) would be a great addition, right? Especially if it makes your job as a don easier…

Thankfully, the folks over at the official Xbox website have decided to give us all a helping hand with Godfather II tactics that would make our experience with the game and the crime world better than ever. There are some great advice posted, and I am going to share them with you, since we all want to play the Godfather II as well as possible.

So, the first thing you should do is to go melee and use your fists: if the enemy plays your way, it will be easier for you to take over. If not… well… there’s always gunfire! Next, as soon as you get a new business, you should make sure you appoint new guards for it: a safer number would be two-thirds of the maximum allowed. This indeed means less profits, but at least you won’t lose anything! And one of the best tips in approaching business attacks in The Godfather II is this: use the backdoors! All buildings have a backdoor entrance and if you use it, you will take everybody by surprise, thus making your job easier!

When you grow bigger and you start having more enemy families, it is suggested that you deal with one at a time: it’s easier to handle and your risk of getting surprise attacks is lower. And another little tip: if you want to execute your enemies, make sure they’re stunned first!

And finally, if you want to make sure that you family is safe and some of your acts will not cause you too much trouble, make sure you “Call off Police” favor in your back pocket when you go for such acts. A good example is the robbing of a bank – make the call after you have done it, and you’ll get home safe and sound.

That’s about it for today with the Godfather II tactical tips, as suggested on the official website. We will return tomorrow with a new batch of tips, so make sure you check again with Unigamesity!
