far-cry2Ubisoft is not wasting any time and, following requests from Far Cry 2 owners, they have released a new patch, patch 1.03 for Far Cry 2 to address several issues, among which one of the most important can be considered the introduction of some user maps as Ranked matches! We have below a full change list of the Far Cry 2 patch 1.03:

Single Player:
– Fixed some random crash occurring during specific Malaria attacks
– Fixed health damage not following the difficulty level when switching difficulty during player’s walkthrough
– Fixed some camera issue when using a mortar near a rock

Multiplayer:
– Added the possibility to play Rank matches on a selection of user maps
– Added deaths in scoreboard
– Balanced current damage model
– Show VIP on Scoreboard (for your team only)
– Players can stay on the same host for consecutive matches in Ranked match
– Added a Quick match button when selecting a map in the Map community
– Fixed vehicles spawning on their initial position immediately after being destroyed by an explosion
– Fixed client being disconnected from the host randomly and not being able to see it after that
– Fixed death message does not appear randomly
– Fixed some issues when interacting with objects
– Fixed bandolier doesn’t always unlock extra ammo
– Fixed some bugs when healing another player and getting wounded at the same time
– Fixed diamond gain in rank mode
– Fixed players getting a request to keep a map after playing on a IGE map
– DLC Fixed some issues whenusing the crossbow
