Turbine announced that Dungeons and Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited will go live on August 6 and it will be completely free to play. Eberron Unlimited is a free digital upgrade for DDO: Stormreach and it will add quite a few changes to the already popular game.
For example, Dungeons and Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited will raise the level cap, add a brand new player class, plus tons of new content like new adventure packs, major combat improvements and much more. Also, VIP players will have early access to the game, on August 4, two days earlier than the rest of us.
“The DDO Unlimited Beta has been a huge success and we want to thank all of our players who have participated to help us make this the best free-to-play game on the market,” said Fernando Paiz, Executive Producer of DDO Unlimited. “On August 6th we are going to change what it means to be free-to-play with the most immersive, action-packed and full-featured MMO that provides players with a choice in how they play and pay for the game.”
It all sounds really nice and I am sure that the tens of thousands of DDO players worldwide will welcome the changes brought by Eberron Unlimited, especially the fact that it will make the core game a free to play one!
