Halo 3 was the number one most played game over Xbox Live for ages now and I doubt anybody had expected it to lose its supremacy anytime soon. However, the unexpected happened and, strange or not, Bungie’s game lost to Call of Duty: World at War. It is for the first time when Activision’s FPS grabs the top spot, but we might be seeing it there for a while now.

According to the Top 10 charts provided by Major Nelson, the multiplayer demo for Lord of the Rings: Conquest made its debut at number 9, while GTA IV fell down at six. Here are the full standings:
