red-orchestra-ostfrontFans of the Red Orchestra series will be glad to hear that Tripwire is planning a sequel to the WWII FPS, one that will be titled Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad, a game that promises to deliver better graphics and a lot better gameplay compared to the previous title.

According to Tripwire, “Heroes of Stalingrad will take the Red Orchestra franchise into the next generation of gaming”. Using the Unreal Engine 3, the game will deliver us a World War II experience like no other game (and, boy, did I hear that tons of times!). Anyway, Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad will be obviously focusing on the Battle of Stalingrad, as well as surrounding operations.

Interestingly, we’ll be able to become virtual Nazis in the game as we’ll have a German single player campaign, which should at least come as a cold shower in the world of WWII-based games.

And that’s about everything we know about Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad, but Tripwire promise that more details will be released soon. We can hardly wait to hear them!

  1. Brilliant news, best Online FPS ive ever played, love the realism one of a very few who dare to venture away from Arcade styles of Battlefield, Call of Duty and Medal of Honor series. To those who read this remember to spread the word, we want as many people as possible to find out about this game, the first title was immense this will be unbeatable.

    Thanks Tripwire.
