If you followed the legal problems in the gaming world, you probably noticed the trend: people are suing game developers hoping to get a bit of cash, even though they have no solid grounds and no real cases. This time things are a bit different: THQ sued Activision for copyright infringement and they might have a case there!

The reason of the lawsuit is the fact that Activision’s upcoming off-road racing game, SCORE International Baja 1000: The Official Game has a box art that looks too much like THQ’s for BAJA Edge of Control. And they do have a point there (check the image in the upper left corner for yourself!). The only thing that shouldn’t be true now is the existence of a third image – a photo from a real Baja racing event which was used by both box art designers.

Anyway, we’ll just keep our eyes open and let you know as soon as we have new information. Probably it was just a mistake. We’ve seen bigger (remember Okami’s cover with IGN’s watermark on?)
