The Walking Dead GameTelltale Games has confirmed a second character will be making a return in Season Two of their hugely successful graphic adventure The Walking Dead.

The character in question is Omid. His return was revealed when Telltale released a new screenshot to tease the premiere episode of The Walking Dead’s long-awaited Second Season.

Also revealed on Twitter was the release window for Season Two, with the developer announcing that the first episode, “All That Remains”, will be coming out sometime in December, which gives us a reasonable window to guess when exactly.

Season Two sees you play as Clementine, where ‘you will be tested by situations and dilemmas that will test your morals and your instinct for survival.’ The story takes place after the events of Season One’s finale, so it will be interesting to see how those events have changed the character.

As expected, the choices made by the player in the First Season, and the DLC episode 400 Days will have an effect on the direction taken by the game’s story.

Telltale has previously said it is trying to ensure that those with next gen consoles will be able to use their saves from their earlier console; however it is unknown whether this will be available straight away.

The Walking Dead: Season Two is expected to launch on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. IOS and Vita versions are expected sometime afterwards.

It’s good to finally see a window for the release of this new season, and great to hear of Omid returning. If you have yet to give the First Season a try, I highly recommend it, as it’s story based gaming at its finest.
