Following the release of Rare’s fun game Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, there were lots of people complaining about the small text that bugs standard TV owners. Even more, things seemed to be ready to get out of hand when the developers have announced that a fix is unlikely to come because it is “too expensive in terms of time, resources and money to alter”.

However, it appears that Rare changed its mind regarding the problem and a Banjo-Kazooie patch will be coming after all – the media and fans’ opinion seems to be of a major importance for the developers. Especially because big money is involved here.

So, speaking with MundoRare, Rare Community manager George Kelion said: “We would like to assure you that, contrary to earlier reports, we are aware of the issue and currently working on a title update to be released within the next 30 days that will fix it for those with standard definition TVs”.

So, here you go, these people changed their mind. I wonder if lower sales because of their first announcement were the real reason to start spending on a patch or they just heard that Christmas is coming and wanted to do a good deed. Either way, Banjo fans should be pleased now.
