I kept wondering – are there any offline games that look like and play at least closely like the Facebook games FishVille or Happy Aquarium? I found offline games similar to FarmVille, but apparently offline games like FishVille or Happy Aquarium are harder to find. However, I did find a few games that involve raising fish and are set in the world of fish, so you might wish to give them a try and see if they can satisfy your needs of playing either of the two online games mentioned before. As a note of caution, make sure to download the demos of the games first before purchasing, just to make sure that you’ll like the games! Now let’s find out what offline games are somehow similar to FishVille and Happy Aquarium!
FishCo – this game seems to be a lot like FishVille, and that’s an amazing thing! Become a Master Fishkeeper! Breed, raise, and sell a huge variety of fishes in this awesome aquatic Time Management game! Build a thriving business through a multitude of challenging fishtastic levels. Unlock new fishes and plants; upgrade your aquatic arsenal; and purchase food and medicine to keep your fishes happy and healthy! Take a breather in Sandbox Mode and customize your very own fish tank. Test the waters with FishCo today!
Fishdom – Spooky Splash – a fun game with an aquarium theme, but more of a match three concept rather than a simulation. The official description says: Build up your scary Fishdom! Earn cash and use it to buy quirky fish, boo-tiful ornaments, and awesome accessories, to create your spooktacular Aquarium! Create the eerie atmosphere of an underwater haunted house with witches, vampires and ghosts. Win trophies as you polish your aquarium design skills in this brilliant Match 3 sequel to Fishdom! Get splashed with Fishdom fun in Fishdom: Spooky Splash!
Fish Tycoon – another game that has some serious parts in which it resembles Happy Aquarium or FishVille. In this fish-breeding simulation game, you’re in charge of a real-time virtual fish store. Start with a small selection of fish, a little bit of cash and a tank. From there, it’s up to you to breed, care for, and help your fish grow. Advertise to get a bigger customer base and finance purchases of food and medicine by selling your rare species. Take a break anytime you want. This real-time aquarium simulation will keep going when you’re not around even if your PC is turned off!
Fishdom H2O: Hidden Odyssey – another game in the FishDom series, now with hidden object elements. Help Jennifer, a young marine biologist, win the Best Aquarium Award. Dive to the bottom of the sea and find various hidden items in numerous eye-teasing locations. Earn cash to buy cute sea creatures and gorgeous ornaments and create unique aquariums. Choose from tons of accessories and supplies to make the life of your exotic swimming pets fun and comfortable. Fishdom H2O: Hidden Odyssey lets your Fishination run wild in this dazzling Hidden Object game!
For now, these are the only games I found to have at least a feel like an offline version of FishVille or Happy Aquarium. Please have in mind that the games above are original titles developed by their own companies and none are related to the two Facebook games we’re all addicted to.
