Nintendo have announced a global Nintendo Direct set for October 1. And 4:00 pm CEST in Europe.  A simultaneous broadcast will be held in Japan as well.

The upcoming Nintendo games for 2013 are Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, The Legend of Zelda: A link Between Worlds, and Super Mario 3D world.

In other news Shadow of the Eternals, a game Kickstarted by Precursor Games, has been delayed indefinitely. An Eternal Darkness spiritual successor, the project was originally announced for the PC and Wii U in search for crowdfunding before it expanded onto Kickstarter. That was canceled shortly thereafter and revived again a couple of months back. The second effort from Precursor Games failed, the funding never reached its goals. Precursors Games’ Denis Dyack stated his studio are “taking a break,” and the game is currently being put “on hold.”

Dyack has stated that they are still not totally giving up on the project. “Is the project dead? No,” Dyack says, “but we feel it needs a rest too. We have all agreed as a group that when and if the time is right we will get together and start it up again.”
