It might be aeons old, but it doesn’t mean that Neverwinter Nights 2 is no longer a popular RPG. Or at least that’s what Atari appears to believe, since they announced that on April 29 they will release a new expansion pack for the game.

Titled Neverwinter Nights 2: Mysteries of Westgate, the long awaited expansion (at least from the fans’ point of view) will be available for download via the Atari online store and it will cost you $9.99. But, as it usually happens with Neverwinter Nights-related products, you’ll get your money’s worth.

In other words, Mysteries of Westgate will add 15 hours of gameplay, in what is probably an effort to turn the game’s name from “Neverwinter” to “Neverending”. Either way, we will receive brand new quests, monsters, weapons and so on, exactly as we usually receive from well done expansions.

Neverwinter Nights 2: Mysteries of Westgate has been under development at Ossian Studios ever since 2007 and was anticipated to hit stores earlier but various problems caused the delay. But now it’s here!
