Must Play Wonder: Somersault

It’s been a while since I was so excited to see a casual title at work, but things have changed now with Somersault, a really impressive platformer developed by indie German studio Enter-Brain-Ment. It is breathtaking, original, incredible and addicting as hell – just try the Somersault demo online to see for yourself!

The story of the game is not original nor breathtaking: our hero, little Bally, has to save his friends who were kidnapped by an evil villain. But that’s not important – the most incredible thing about Somersault is the control method: you have to draw “paddles” with your mouse in order to guide Bally through the 21 beautifully created levels. At first it’s a bit hard to get use with this new innovative control method, but as soon as you’ll get the hang of it, you’ll never be able to stop!

And I’m not the only one saying that Somersault is a great piece of entertainment: the game has won on November 6 the European Innovative Games Award, which means it’s a really great title. It also only costs 15 bucks – with DS and iPhone versions planned.

Now check this great video showing about everything you should expect from Somersault:
