The Dragon Ball Z franchise is just one of the most important reasons why PlayStation 2 consoles are still considered to be alive and kicking. In order to make sure we know that, Atari has announced that the latest in the series, Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World, a PS2 exclusive, has reached gold status and will be available for purchase on November 4.

Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World will boast several special features including the so-called “Dragon Missions” (scenes from the animated series never seen before in a video game), new battle types, and improved dramatic cut scenes that will eventually make you scream for more Dragon Balls.

Also, if you’re still not convinced about the super-coolness of this new PS2 exclusive, you should know that the game features over 40 unique characters, not counting the various character transformations which multiply the playing potential. On top of characters, fighting techniques and battle stages, Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World also includes selected drama scenes from the previous games all presented using beautifully refined effects and shading techniques.

So, if you’re a fan of the franchise and you still have your PlayStation 2 console ready, Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World might be exactly what you were waiting for the holiday season.
