PS2CoverSheet108Square Enix has revealed that the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will be released in North America on March 18th and in Europe on March 21st.

This release date is only for the PlayStation 3 version of the game, which will be shipping on a single disc, and will be priced at $39.99. An announcement has not yet been made for the PS Vita, which shall have the two games sold separately.

The games shall also include Final Fantasy X: Eternal Calm and Final Fantasy X-2: Last Mission, which were previously only included in the international releases of the games.

Square Enix also revealed a redesign for the artwork on the Limited Edition, which is given as a free upgrade to those who order the game, to include the game’s protagonists, Tidus and Yuna. They also noted that those who pre-order will be getting an exclusive Concept Artbook package if you get the free Limited Edition upgrade.

This is a little later than many had hoped, with Final Fantasy X and the X-2 Remasters coming out on the 26th December in Japan on both PS3 and PS Vita.

Square Enix have also released a new five minute video for the release entitled “Saving Spira”, which does contain some story details just in case you want to experience it ‘fresh’.

Which Final Fantasy would you like to see given the HD makeover next? Are there any other games you feel deserve the polish and given a new release so people can enjoy them again?
