Initially released as a commercial isometric RPG adventure similar in style with the Zelda series, Dink Smallwood was eventually released as freeware and I am going to share a few words about this game, as well as the link from where you will be able to download the game for free. Read on!
According to the developers, Robinson Technologies, Dink Smallwood is “a humorous zelda-like isometric adventure/RPG” that features a module named DMOD (Dink Module) that allows players to create additional adventures – and there are quite a few available, again for free, from the official website of the game.
Gameplay-wise, Dink Smallwood indeed resembles the Zelda series: isometric view, tons of weapons and items and magic. It is a very humorous game – for example, the people in the virtual world of the game worship ducks and Dink, the game’s hero, is just a pig farmer. So yes, if you wish something more than the classic “you’re the superhero, destroy everything”, this indie title will be the right choice. And it’s absolutely free for download and play!
If you want to see for yourself, you can grab it from the official website of the game. Also, make sure to visit The Dink Network as well for extra DMODs – which means lots of extra hours of free game play!
