cm2010-setpiecedesignerAfter getting delayed and delayed, the next Championship Manager will actually hit the stores this September as CM2010 – rather fair, since launching the 2009 edition of the game so close to the end of the season is not really a great idea!

Developed by Beautiful Game Studios, Championship Manager 2010 promises to re-define the football management genre with tons of unique features, like a top notch 3D match engine with over 500 player animations, a Set-piece creator that allows managers to create their own free kicks and corners schemes, Scouting Networks and more.

Also, the 2010 version of Championship Manager will introduce the CM Season Live feature, one that will allow players download real-world data from ten of the biggest soccer competitions in Europe and take charge of their chosen club after everything gets updated, from standings to transfers, player stats and bookings! We don’t know exactly which countries will be featured in the CM Seasons Live, but I would guess that all the big ones (UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, France) will be there.

“Today’s announcement is one of the most significant in this much loved franchise’s history and we aim to continually improve and innovate on this each year.” said Roy Meredith, General Manager of Championship Manager, “Everyone should continue to expect huge announcements from Championship Manager, 2009 is going to be a big year for us.”

Let’s hope that is correct! Having three top quality football management games sounds much better than having just one.
