Fancy having some old school 16-bit fun with Sonic and Knuckles, Golden Axe, Shinobi, Ecco the Dolphin and many other? Do you consider the idea of having your own Sega Mega Drive in a portable format? Because if you do, we’re talking about handheld 16-bit fun here, thanks to the Blaze Mega Drive who decided to offer us the best geek gadget of this holiday season! Eat this, Sega Vision!

Balze comes with some quality retro games considered cream of the crop in the nineties (Alex Kidd – Enchanted Castle, Alien Storm Altered Beast, Arrow Flash, Crackdown, Decap Attack, Dr Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine, Ecco Junior, Flicky, Gain Ground, Jewel Master, Kid Chameleon, Sonic Spinball and Shadow Dancer). It also comes with a very retro-ish look, too, but we’ll excuse the handheld on the matter.

The only problem? You need three AAA batteries to feed the little beast, which also means that it is not the lightest gadget you might encounter. But if you want retro, you get retro (and a 2.4 inch LCD screen, but that does not count – some things are a must!) The portable Mega Drive aka Blaze will retail for £29.99 (about $60) and it apparently comes in UK only.
