Finally, some details have leaked for the upcoming adventure greatness Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs (the title has been confirmed too, as you can see!).
The indie title will be developed by thechineseroom and even though Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs will be set in the same alternate history of the original title, it won’t be a direct sequel. But it will take place in the same world and fans are promised to have solid reasons to be happy.
According to Joystiq who managed to get an interview with thechineseroom’s Dan Pinchbeck, Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs will be set in 1899 and follow a wealthy industrialist Oswald Mandus who came back home after a tragic expedition in Mexico. Mandus is haunted by dreams of a dark machine until he mysteriously regains consciousness. Months have passed unbeknownst to the industry tycoon and emerging from his slumber the roaring engine of a mysterious machine sputters to life.
The image you can check out in the upper left corner is artwork from the upcoming title, of course, and I will make sure to share with you any details about Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs as soon as they are made available.
