Ubisoft has expanded its empire with a solid game development company – Massive Entertainment, the creators of one of the best RTS games in recent times, World in Conflict. To company was brought from the Activision Blizzard colossus and now we should expect them to get back on track and start producing some more quality games.

Although the sum Ubisoft paid is still a secret and, for now, there are no game announcements for Massive Entertainment, we do know that the WiC creators are ranked among the top 50 videogame studios in the world and since it was founded back in 1997, has grown to 120 workers. That’s a lot of man power and, no matter what their next project is, it should be huge.

“Massive’s development team places great importance on its freedom to innovate and create games of the highest quality,” said Massive founder and president Martin Walfisz. “We are fortunate to have found in Ubisoft a publisher who shares the same values and understands our mindset. I have no doubt that our future together will offer significant mutual benefit and synergy.”

It will clearly be much better than being dissolved or ignored by Activision Blizzard, that’s a sure fact!
