Here’s some fantastic news for all the Fallout fans: Bethesda has dropped their appeal against Interplay, allowing the latter to continue the work on a Fallout MMO codenamed Project V13. This means that sooner or later we’ll finally be allowed to enter the post apocalyptic universe we’ve always loved and never fear that a big company will try to shut it down.

According to Fallout fansite Duck and Cover, Frymuchan, one of Interplay’s investors said:

“Bethesda dropped their appeal of the lawsuit with Interplay and a secret deal was struck (maybe they will release the terms of the deal soon, probably so). Anyways, this is awesome news for Interplay stock. The appeal by Bethesda was dropped yesterday. I’m assuming part of the deal was that Interplay drop their countersuit against Bethesda. At any rate, this will likely mean that V13 will be moving full steam ahead, terms of the new deal not yet known but the fact that the game will be made is nothing but good news for Interplay.”

And of course great news for the fans who were hoping for a Fallout MMO for ages. Let’s just hope that now, since they’re allowed to do it, Interplay releases more information about their Project V13.
