If you did not listen to the latest Major Nielsen blogcast, you missed some very important information, especially if you are a fan of DICE’s latest piece of art, Battlefield: Bad Company. We’re talking about freebies here. Hot freebies!

According to DICE game developer Gordon Van Dyke, the company is planning to release for free a pack of maps for their shooter. The new maps will be converted single-player levels from the campaign mode, retooled for Conquest mode and, although it doesn’t sound like a huge deal, it’s better than nothing and, most important, it’s for free.

Unfortunately, there was no word regarding a possible release date, but we’re keeping our eyes open, so keep in touch as we’ll update this news as soon as we have more info.
