Dark Void was one of the big name releases of early 2010, but just like most of the games, it comes with some really annoying problems. Most of the reports on the official game forums and over the internet say that Dark Void crashes at start up or during gameplay without any apparent reason. Is there a way to fix these Dark Void crashes and fixes?
Apparently, most of the start up crashes of the game are caused by the launch of the file ShippingPC—Skygame.exe (with an error message like “The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). Click OK to terminate the application”).
Also, other users are complaining that Dark Void crashes during cutscenes, especially the early one when you pick up the game. Which is the reason behind all these crashes? Hard to tell especially since the game’s developers are saying nothing on the matter…
However… is there a way to get rid of these Dark Void crashes? There might be: first of, make sure that you update your graphics card drivers to the latest release and also make sure that your computer meets the system requirements to run the game. Also, try lowering the game’s settings until it runs fine.
Other people successfully got over the crashes of the game (during the cutscenes at least) by simply skipping the cutscenes. This is not natural – cutscenes are made to be watched, after all, but if you wish to play the game it appears that skipping the cutscenes (by pressing Enter or whichever key you’ve set up for use/activate) is the only way to do it.
Have you managed to find any other fix for the Dark Void crashes?
