halo master chief collection343 Industries has revealed that Halo 2 map Coagulation will be reimagined for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, whilst releasing a new trailer.

The news was revealed over the weekend during RTX, Coagulation joins Ascension (revealed at E3) as being one of six Halo 2 maps being remastered for Halo 2: Anniversary, so four more maps are to be revealed for the makeover. Coagulation, of course, was a remake of the map Blood Gulch from Halo: Combat Evolved. 343 released a few pieces of concept art to give you an idea of the direction they’re going with the reimagining.

Terminals will be making a reappearance in Halo 2: Anniversary, but whereas in Halo: Anniversary they gave hints about the Halo 4 story through motion comics, Halo 2 will feature hints at the Halo 5 storyline. The new trailer shown at the weekend re-introduces us to foe turned friend The Arbiter, hinting at some of the wrongs he has done in the past. The Halo 5 hints will be taken from The Arbiter’s perspective.

Finally, 343 introduced another upgrade being introduced. This takes the Mongoose from Halo 3 and adds an anti-infantry weapon to the frontgungoose halo of it to create the Gungoose. With this new vehicle comes its own game mode: Gungoose CTF, which 343 say will fit in perfectly with Coagulation.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is due out in November on Xbox One and will feature Halo 1: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3 , Halo 4 and all the games’ add-on content. It will also include access to the Halo 5: Guardians Beta and the digital show Halo: Nightfall.

What are your thoughts on these details? What other maps do you want to get reimagined for the collection?
