Although exact sales numbers are not available at the moment, it’s worth noting that Grand Theft Auto IV for PS3 managed to debut ahead of LittleBigPlanet and Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One (which got third and second places). The fourth title is, believe it or not, the Xbox 360 version for the game. Rockstar must be really proud of that.
And, to be honest, Sony must be happy, too, since two PS3 titles are in the top 3 charts, while GT5: Prologue grabs the seventh place. And this could mean a rise in hardware sales, something the PlayStation would consider a fresh breath of air, following the recent (huge) drop in sales in Japan.
Anyway, here’s the full top ten for the week ending November 2, according to Famitsu:
1. Grand Theft Auto IV (PS3)
2. Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One (DS)
3. LittleBigPlanet (PS3)
4. Grand Theft Auto IV (360)
5. Wagamama Fassion Girls Mode (DS)
6. Pokemon Platinum (DS)
7. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue: Spec III (PS3)
8. Rhythm Tengoku Gold (DS)
9. Chocobo’s Dungeon DS+ (DS)
10. Wii Music (Wii)
