2K Games have decided to offer us some information about the multiplayer in BioShock 2 and we gladly accepted it, even though the first thing that struck us is that Digital Extremes will take care of the multiplayer in the upcoming BioShock game, and both companies seem pretty pleased with that.
According to the devs, the multiplayer in BioShock 2 will provide a rich prequel experience that expands on the origins of BioShock. It will be set during the fall of Rapture, and players will take the role of a Plasmid test subject – they will have to use all the elements of the BioShock toolset to survive, and I’m sure people will gladly do so.
Among the key features, we have:
– Experience points earning, which leads to new weapons, plasmids and tonics that can be combined and eventually used to create a unique character that fits your style of play;
– You will see Rapture before the fall, including iconic environments in locations such as Kashmir Restaurant and Mercury Suites;
And, of course, much more. Probably. Hopefully. We’ll see.
