In an interview with Eurogamer, producer Guillaume Voghel gave a couple of hints as to what to expect from the ‘I Am The Night’ game mode being introduced in Arkham Origins.
The mode, which will be available after completing the main game twice (a normal playthrough and a New Game Plus playthrough), will be a test for the most avid Batman fans. Voghel claims that in ‘I Am The Night’ you will not be allowed to save and will be restricted to only one life.
In the interview, Voghel explained: “”The main narrative arc and side missions last about 12 hours,” he explained, “and then you have all the collectibles. To get 100 per cent of that will take much, much longer. We have a new difficulty level, New Game Plus is coming pack – that’s really difficult – and when you’re done with that there’s I Am The Night mode – which is no saves and one life.”
Warner Bros. has been giving us a lot of information recently, giving us glimpses at some of the DLC: the Deathstroke Challenge Pack for pre orders, and the PS3 exclusive Knightfall DLC pack.
Last week they also revealed the Season Pass for the game, which will include a number of skin packs, but also a new story campaign and the chance to play as Bruce Wayne before he became Batman.
How excited are you for Arkham Origins? Will you be giving ‘I Am The Night’ a shot, and how successful do you think you’ll be in it?
Batman: Arkham Origins is due for release on 25th October on PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U.
