dark-spireAtlus is slowly turning every game release into a Collector’s Edition release, but at the same price: the company started to offer a free soundtrack CD to all those who purchase some of their games, and the latest title to join the family is the upcoming The Dark Spire, a DS exclusive RPG game. The whole deal is part of the “Atlus Spoil” program and we do hope they will keep it alive for quite a while!

Now, everybody who is going to purchase The Dark Spire when it launches on April 14, will also receive a soundtrack CD featuring some intense music from the game. A music which is haunting, moody and brooding according to Atlus themselves!

“Our census data indicates that given the choice between only a game, and a better-packaged game with a free bonus soundtrack, a significant number of our fans seem to prefer getting free extras,” analyzed Aram Jabbari, Manager of Public Relations and Sales. “We don’t want to rush to any conclusions here, but it seems possible that people enjoy free bonus things along with their games. Hopefully, we’re actually reading the data correctly this time, unlike that study on whether or not our fans enjoyed bonus live scorpions with their games. We really blew it on that one, and we apologize to those affected.”

You see? Not only that Atlus offers DS owners freebies, they’re also funny. Which is really great in these harsh times!
