I can’t remember when I last played a Space Invaders game and I’m sure most of you can say the same thing. But now things are going to change, since Nintendo has finally released the original SNES game on it’s virtual console. Together with it, Strong Bad Episode 4 and Target Toss Pro are the two WiiWare titles released this week. Details about the games, including another VC title, Forgotten World can be found below.

Strong Bad Episode 4: Dangeresque 3 is the fourth game in the WiiWare series and it brings a little twist: You play Dangeresque, a dirty cop in pursuit of a little action and several big sacks of cash. Can our hero stay alive long enough to defeat his arch-nemesis, save the world and get the girl? That’s for you to find out if you are ready to spend 1000 Wii Points.

Target Toss Pro: Bags is the second WiiWare title released this week and it can be played by up to 16 players online. The game is simple yet presumably addictive: players try to toss beanbags into a hole in a slightly raised platform or “box” for points. The only thing that’s missing is the barbeque and the canned beer, but you can’t get that much for 700 points – Target Toss Pro’s price!

Forgotten Worlds, the classic Sega Genesis game is available on Virtual Console for 800 Wii Points. One or two player scrolling shooter action at its best, from this great Capcom original. That, of course, if you can handle more space ships since…

Space Invaders marks its Virtual Console debut this week, with a price of 800 Wii Points. Space Invaders: The Original Game is a perfect rendition of the arcade classic. Take aim at the field of invaders relentlessly marching toward you and move quickly but carefully, using the barriers for protection as you avoid missiles fired by the aliens and try to destroy all of them before they reach the bottom of the screen. Sweet old times are back this week on the Nintendo Wii and nobody can stop them!
