The latest finding in the “do something Mario” never ending series is the Super Mario Chess Collector’s Edition, a pretty dull, strange and not too impressive chess table based on the characters we all know and love from the Super Mario universe. And a pretty pricy one, too since it costs $39.99.
The Super Mario Chess Collector’s Edition can be purchased from Entertainment Earth, but be aware that it might be quite strange, if you are to analyze it a bit. And the strangest and at the same time funniest reason of them all is the fact that the queen and king of the “Goods” are Mario and Luigi. And if we combine this information with the recent video we saw about what would happen if Mario and Luigi weren’t brothers, the effect is hilarious and the coincidence is huge. Still, pointless, since Princess Peach is a Bishop.
The full lineup of this Mario Chess looks something like this: Mario (king), Luigi (queen), Princess Peach (bishop), Princess Daisy (bishop), Yoshi (knight), Toad (rook), Coin (pawns) – all these are ”the Goods”; and Bowser (king), Bowser Jr. (queen), Magikoopa (bishop), Birdo (knight), Goomba (rook), and Koopa Shell (pawns) – all these are “the Bads”. So… in the end – good or bad? You decide!
