david-reevesSCEE president David Reeves plans to retire from his position at the end of the month, but this will be not a big surprise to Sony, who are preparing to invest Andrew House, the former chief marketing officer and group executive, as the new boss of Sony Europe.

“David’s contribution in firmly establishing the PlayStation brand and expanding the business in Europe/PAL territories in his 14 year tenure at SCEE is immeasurable,” said Sony chairman and CEO Kazuo Hirai.

As Reeves steps down, there are already rumors starting to be heard that he might be heading to another company, so he might not be done for good with the business and, maybe, gaming world. However, these rumors matter the least right now – all it matters is that Sony and the PlayStation are getting a new boss in Europe and probably he will come with new business plans. Will that be enough to give Sony a push in the console wars? We’ll see after Andrew House starts acting.
