While credibility to both the source and the website itself can be questioned, Kotaku have also confirmed the rumors; with the site claiming to they contacted “a person familiar with goings-on at Sony” in which the contact claimed the reports to be true.
To add even more speculation, Sony is hosting a San Francisco event today where they’ll be showing off their PS4 games. DriveClub was originally part of the lineup but has since been removed due to a “scheduling conflict.” Numerous websites have contacted Sony regarding this rumor, but they have responded by stating they don’t comment on rumors and speculations, their usual response.
If the rumor proves to be true this can mark a significant loss for Sony and it’s PS4. Just yesterday Watch Dogs was delayed to Spring 2014 as well, which was planned to launch a week after PS4’s debut. Sony also promised, back at their E3 2013 press conference, that PS Plus subscribers will be able to access a smaller version of DriveClub free of charge. The version would have only lacked a handful of cars and race tracks.
