Bernard & Hank: Springtime Again is a free to download, free to play platformer game released by The Peasants team back in 2007. However, it’s just recently I’ve discovered the game and I must admit that it made me smile, remembering the good ol’ times when games like this one were all you could play. And they were so enjoyable!

The story of Bernard & Hank: Springtime Again is quite nice as well:

Hank Hoedown makes some pocket money by selling eggs, and plans to win the yearly egg contestwith a huge egg. NationalLiberal, on the prowl for revenge, steals the big egg and sends out his minions to paint and hide the rest of the eggs. Hank, along with his old pal Bernard Buffalo, has to go through 27 levels, meet around 20 different enemies and search for hidden bonus levels to defeat NationalLiberal once again and get his egg back.

The graphics are as simple and completely old school in Bernard & Hank: Springtime Again, but the gameplay, sound effects and music tracks are more advanced. Also included is the minigame Liberball (which was an unlockable in the first game) and a jukebox to listen to all music tracks. Which is quite enough for a free game, if you ask me.

So if you’re curious and want to give this great game a try (you have nothing to lose, in the end), follow the link to the official website and have fun!
