First there were the rumors. Then, there were the analysts claiming that it’s just natural. Gaming journalists followed and fans all over the world, all claiming the same thing: Metal Gear Solid 4 going to Xbox 360 is not a surprise. It’s just how things are. Well… I must admit that I was surprised to hear that. Probably the only person in the world, but for me – it was a surprise. You know… with all those references in the cinematics and such…

But these are just side-details and they don’t matter at all. What really maters is that Konami confirmed that MGS4 will no longer be a PlayStation 3 exclusive! In an interview with Japanese stock investor bulletin Morningstar spotted by Kotaku, Konami’s PR rep Yoshitaka Arai said: “The worldwide demand for an Xbox 360 version (of MGS4) is quite high, and it is something we are currently looking in to.”

But I guess that’s not even news, since everybody was expecting that to happen, right? Well, I didn’t! I know that Microsoft’s console sells better than Sony’s, I know that third party developers have an understandable goal: to get the highest profit out of their games and I know that exclusives are bullschwitt in the first place. But I can’t pretend I was not surprised.
